Building Momentum | B2–C1 Business English: Progress and Setbacks at Work

Building Momentum is a B2–C1 Business English lab for talking about progress and setbacks at work. You may recognize the right expression in a short exchange but hesitate when you need to explain a similar situation yourself. The lab combines audio exercises, vocabulary work, and substantial speaking practice to help you give that explanation aloud. Inside the lab, you will: • Listen to short scenario exchanges. • Complete audio and vocabulary exercises. • Give your own response aloud. • Hear a model response and try again. • Notice useful language in the full responses. • Repeat aloud and review the language in new situations. The next time a colleague asks, “Are we getting anywhere with this?”, you can explain what has changed and what the team is doing next.
